Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash Injures Two

On Friday, August 5, an elderly Kansas man was seriously injured in a single vehicle motorcycle crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 11 p.m. on the Interstate 29 in the southbound lanes at mile marker 89 which is five miles north of Mound City.

Samuel B. Little, aged 69 and of Lenexa, Kansas was operating the 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was following an unidentifiable second vehicle. Something from the unit the second vehicle was towing fell into the roadway and Little hit it with his motorcycle.

Little and his passenger, 65 year old Constance L. Harrell, of Shawnee, Kansas, who were both wearing helmets, were ejected and slid along the southbound lanes. They were both taking to Mosaic Life Care Hospital where Little is said to be fair and Harrell has moderate injuries.

The second vehicle did not stop and continued driving south.
